This is a very well done police drama. It deals with corruption and honesty in a very compelling manner. It is even more compelling when considering that all of the main characters are related in the film.
In the aftermath of a shooting that leaves 4 police officers dead Detective Ray Tierney (Edward Norton) leads an investigation to find out what went wrong. His investigation leads him right through a squad led by his brother (Noah Emmerich) and eventually settles on his brother-in-law (Collin Farrell).
Both the language and the violence are a bit intense in this film. Aside from that my only criticism would be that I wish they had expounded slightly more on the ending.
3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
