This was a 2003 release from Universal Pictures starring Morgan Freeman as God and Jim Carrey as a frustrated reporter named Bruce Nolan who thinks that he isn't being treated fairly by God and that he could do a better job.
After getting into a fight with his girlfriend Grace Connelly (Jennifer Aniston) Bruce goes for a late night drive and takes his frustrations out on God. A number of strange things happen and eventually Bruce is summoned to a warehouse to meet with God. He is given all of God's powers to see if he can do a better job of things.
This is a generally fun movie, it's nothing from a cinematic stand point. It features the usual Jim Carrey types of physical and witty comedy and Morgan Freeman is fun to watch. If you can set aside the sense of sacrilege this is entertaining to watch.

Yeah, this movie is really just kind of there. I hear some people can detect a Calvinist message in it, amide all the hooky cg and gages involving Jennifer Aniston’s bosoms.
