Let me start off with a disclaimer that this film Rated R and deserves the rating. It is not for children.
This is a 2008 release from Columbia Pictures Starring Will Ferrell and John C Reiley.
This is the story of two single individuals who meet and fall in love at a medical conference. It is disclosed that they each have single sons ages 39 and 40 who still live at home. The couple get married and bring their households together, including their 2 adult sons. What ensues is utterly hilarious. The 2 sons (played bye Will Ferrell and John C. Reiley) behave have like young teenage boys, engaging in immature pranks, gags and petty fights that anyone who was or is a teen with siblings can relate to. Because of their age the gags and fights are more mature and go much further than they would with teenagers. Eventually the parents get tired of the circumstances and give the boys an ultimatum to get jobs and move out within a month. What ensues is again very entertaining in an immature way.
Bottom line this movie is very funny at times but completely overdone. Entertaining but the immature nature and level of crudeness brings the overall rating down. 2 out of 5 stars. A bit of a guilty pleasure.
