50 First Dates

This is a 2004 release from Columbia Pictures Corporation pairing the ever funny man Adam Sandler with Drew Barrymore.

Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) is a man who is afraid of commitment who uses different rouses every weekend to seduce tourists only to make sure that when they leave they have no way to get in touch with him. This works out great for him until one day he meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore) and they hit it off. He thinks he has just met the women of his life and the next day returns to be with her again only to discover that she can't remember him. It is then that he learns that Lucy was involved in an accident that left her with permanent brain damage that leaves her with short term memory loss and starts each day as if it were the same single day in her life.

The interactions between these two are entertaining on their own but it is the supporting cast that makes this film really entertaining. Characters like Ula (Rob Schnieder), Doug Whitmore (Sean Astin), Dr. Keats (Dan Akroyd), and Marlin Whitmore (Blake Clark) are particular standout, not to mention the animals.

I thought this was one of Adam Sandlers better films and though it still had a lot of potty and sex humor it was still better than many of his previous films. 3 out of 5 stars.
