This is a 2006 release from Columbia Pictures featuring Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Jack Black and Eli Wallach.
This is the story of Amanda Woods (Kate Winslet) and Iris Simpkins (Kate Winslet) who both go through bad relationships and are looking to temporarily escape their lives. The meet on a vacation site and agree to a home swap. Amanda subsequently goes to England and Iris goes to LA. While in England Amanda meets Iris's brother Graham Simpkins (Jude Law) and they agree to have a temporary physical relationship. While in LA Iris meets Arthur Abbot and Miles and becomes friends with both. Arthur and Miles help he develop an appreciation and love for the movies and she helps them through their troubles.
Soon Iris and Grahams relationship causes them to fall in love, and soon Miles and Amanda are also falling in love.
This was a cute and fun romantic film. You almost don't even realize you are watching a chick flick. 3 out of 5 stars.
Jumping ahead and Spring Break....

Not a good movie, but the scenes with Eli Wallach as the Billy Wilder like screen writer almost justify the film.
